How is the IPL Photofacial performed?

A gel is applied to the area that will be treated and patients are given protective eyewear. During treatment the IPL device is applied to the skin, delivering pulses of light. Treatments typically take approximately 30 minutes, depending on the area(s) treated, after which time patients can return to most of their normal daily activities.
